Welcome to LACNETS

Thank you for connecting with us. We are glad you found us and are happy to help in any way we can. First of all, we want to say that we are sorry to hear about your diagnosis. We understand, and you are not alone. There is a community of NET patients here for you.

It can feel overwhelming when you're first diagnosed, especially when diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. To get you started, we have put together a NET resources folder that you might find helpful along your NET journey. For those recently diagnosed, visit our dedicated page for newly-diagnosed patients.

Here's a quick summary of some of the resources you'll find in the folder:

  1. NET VITALS - Fill this out before your appointment with your NET specialist!

  2. NCCN Guidelines - This offers detailed descriptions of treatments, including types of drugs (i.e. everolimus, CAPTEM), and is tailored to specific types of NETs. It also offers a dictionary of common terms and acronyms.

  3. Healing NET Primer - Give this primer to your medical professionals to help educate them about NET.

  4. Interscience Book - This gives more detailed information about labs and biomarkers that might be drawn.

  5. NET Cookbook for NET Patients (with Carcinoid Syndrome) - Many people ask for dietary and nutritional assistance. We've included two cookbooks--one is a cookbook tailored for those who suffer from carcinoid syndrome, and the other is a cookbook for those who do not.

  6. NET Cookbook for NET Patients (without Carcinoid Syndrome)

  7. NETRF Patient Guide - This is a great starting place. This provides a high-level overview. â€‹â€‹

  8. Financial Assistance Programs - These programs are helpful for financial assistance.
